Musicals have been the backbone of social entertainment in the worlds largest cities for a long time. Infact, some theatre shows have been showing for over twenty years and still popular. The theatre show was written for the stage by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and tells the story of a scarred French guy who falls in deep love with a chorus singer. Next is the tremendous musical known as Cats. Again another memorable theatre show and one that ran pretty near to 20 years until its last show in late 2000. Cats won both the Laurence Olivier Award and the Tony award for best musical and was performed in both London’s glittering West End and Broadway New York. Now it’s time for the most acclaimed play with a French show title of all time, Les Miserable aka Les Mis or translated into English as The Miserables. The theatre show has been running in London’s glittering West End for beyond 20 years now and is the second longest running musical production in London’s entertainment history.
