Band of Mystery

Welcome back to our Viper Students, Families and Supporters.

The marching band had a successful summer made up of great rehearsals and a fun band camp. For the first time in many years band camp had only about 10 minutes of rain, which allowed for a lot of productivity.

Mr. Illa's vision of doing more in less time is proving to be a valuable way of rehearsing.  The majority of the students have learned all the music and drill for the competition show and about fifty percent of the pep songs.

We are looking forwards to a very exciting year and hope to have a large, friendly, communal support group of parents and alumni. Please remember to register as a volunteer if you have not already done so.

Mr. Illa is attempting to aid all students and families to manage being in marching band and doing well in school. As he can be quoted as saying "the students success in all courses is critical to their futures."

Here are details about the 3-6:30pm Rehearsals.

3:00-3:50pm will be Study Hall in the band room.

4:00-6:00pm will be Rehearsal.

6:00-6:10pm will be the Final Run-through of the show for the Day. You are welcome to watch.

6:10-6:20pm will be Announcements.

6:20-6:30 the students will Pack Up and be picked up.

About Study Hall : Attendance will be taken and skipping study hall will result in the student not being allowed to rehearse. Three missed rehearsal may, at the discretion of Mr. Illa, result in the student being removed from the marching band.

It's almost that time where we shine on the stands playing and enjoying the moment. Where we show off our Viper pride and get the rest of our crowd cheering on our team. Get ready for a fun season with a show and pep songs for our football game crowds.

Game Dates:

On the calander you can see all the dates for the FVHS Football Games. It has not yet been determined which games the band will attend, so be ready for all of them until further notice.
